Instead of having our wonderful little mini-pets doing absolutely nothing while running around, why not have them do something?

Here is what I suggest: Have our mini-pets pick up dropped items in the field if they are running around. They would automatically run to that item, and it would be placed in your inventory. Of course, there should be a changable options of what you would or wouldn't like to have the little guy pick up (i.e. materials, weapons, collector items, gold, etc). These items would be the ones that are dropped for YOU. However, if a player decides not to pick up an item and it becomes a free item for anyone, whomever's mini-pet reaches it first gets it.

Thats my suggestion to add functionality to the mini-pets. Discuss, hack away, or whatnot.

Please provide the link then, because I HAVE searched both the stickied thread, and the forum itself. I used ctrl+F and searched mini-pets using multiple different ways (minipets, mini-pets, mini pets, etc) AND manually searched.

If there is another thread that suggests the same, then I'll gladly add my suggestion to that one. Until then, I'll just keep mine here.

I say again, please provide me with a working link of such topics, and I will gladly remove mine. I will just add to theirs. Plus, if they are so countless, it should not be too difficult a task for the both of you to accomplish.

Good idea, minis do nothing at the moment except look good, make them have an actual use when you are going around battling

I had a small idea, that each of the green, and maybe gold mini-pets give party bonuses.

e.g Bone Dragon gives all party members +5 max energy, Gwen gives all party members +10hp, Mallyx gives all party members a 10% chance to block, miniature ghostly hero gives all party members +5 armour, Kanaxai allows all party members to attack 10% faster, Kuuna gives a +5% speed boost.

Green pets would have nice bonuses like these, gold ones would have similar, but with a lower bonus, e.g. only +2 max energy, +5 HP, +5 armour vs a specific damage type.

The limitation is that the same type of mini pets do not stack there bonuses, so 2 bone dragons in a party would still only give +5 max energy, and they only work in PVE of course.
